Interview preparation

Once you land an interview for your dream job or internship, it is critical that you spend time preparing yourself ahead of time. During your interview, the employer will be assessing your qualifications, evaluating your skills and experiences, and determining if you are a good fit with their company. This interaction is also help for you to determine if the position and the company align with your interests, values and goals.

Potential employers tend to ask a mix of standard and behavioral interview questions, so it is important to spend time preparing and practicing answers for both. You currently have access to Big Interview which is an online system that combines training and practice to help improve your interview technique and build your confidence through a variety of tools including mock interviews, a recording tool, written and video job search and interview curriculum, and a mechanism for sharing videos for feedback. Write thank you notes!

Thank you notes show gratitude to potential employers, recruiters, interviewers, references and others. Sending a sincere, appreciative note within 24 hours of your interview, meeting or networking interaction is ideal. Emailed thank you notes are acceptable, but a handwritten note adds a personal touch that helps you stand out.
